Adam Clagg Writes For Bible Study Magazine

  • Friday, May 14, 2010

Adam Clagg, a pastor, writer and teacher from Chattanooga, recently wrote an article on suffering in 1 Peter for Bible Study Magazine, a non-denominational, internationally circulated publication dedicated to providing readers with tools and methods for Bible study. “What to Say When There’s Nothing to Say,” was published in Bible Study Magazine’s May–June 2010 issue, which features, Ed Stetzer, president of Lifeway Research, on the cover.

In his three page article, Rev. Clagg uses Bible verses, the example of the Apostle Peter, and the work of Christ to bring perspective to suffering. Drawing on a time when a woman asked him why her grandson had died, he guides readers to a new perspective on suffering. John D. Barry, editor-in-chief of Bible Study Magazine said, “It’s great to have someone contribute to our publication who has both an academic and pastoral perspective. This makes his writing very practical.”

Rev. Clagg is the executive pastor at Covenant Church in Soddy Daisy. He is also the editor for AccessBibleStudies.com and teaches online for Grand Canyon University. He is an alumnus of Berean Academy, Free Will Baptist Bible College, Lee University, Liberty University, and Leadership Chattanooga. Rev. Clagg is currently in the dissertation phase of his doctorate in Leadership. He serves as vice-chairman of Youth Leadership Chattanooga, treasurer of the Tennessee International Missions Board, and is on the planning committee for Worship Chattanooga.
