Don Jernigan To Speak At USS Carbonero Meeting

Don Jernigan is the speaker scheduled for the April 11 USS CARBONERO Base meeting.

Mr. Jernigan is a 30-year nuclear professional and has been a member of TVA since September 2008. As senior vice president of Nuclear Operations he has oversight of all three nuclear sites which are the Browns Ferry, Sequoyah and Watts Bar facilities.

Prior to coming to TVA, Mr. Jernigan was site vice president at Dominion’s Surry Power facility and prior to that, he was site vice president at Florida Power and Light’s Saint Lucie Nuclear Power plant and also plant manager at FPL’s Turkey Point Facility.

Mr. Jernigan is a 1978 graduate of Florida State University and also received his MBA from the University of Miami. He also served in the United States Navy Submarine Force.

The meeting will take place at VFW Post 4848, 1491 Riverside Dr., Chattanooga. The post is next to the Boathouse Restaurant.
