Fire Destroys Trailer On Mowbray Mountain

  • Monday, December 17, 2012

A trailer was destroyed by fire on Mowbray Mountain Monday morning. At 10:32 a.m. a 911 call was received, reporting a possible trailer fire at 9825 Granny Walker Cemetery Road.

The Mowbray Mountain Volunteer Fire Department responded and reported structure collapse on a trailer fire.

A neighbor had reported to fire officials that the homeowner, Donald Harris, could still be in the structure or at the Soddy Daisy Nursing Home. The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office called and confirmed Mr. Harris is currently in the Soddy Daisy nursing home. Damages are unclear at this time.

The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office. No injuries were reported.

The Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department also responded to assist the Mowbray Mountain Volunteer Fire Department.
