Rev. Dan Scott Publishes Collection Of Prayers

  • Tuesday, December 18, 2012

In his position as Baylor School chaplain since 2003, Rev. Dan Scott has delivered prayers ranging from celebratory to solemn, at events such as the installation of Scott Wilson as the school’s ninth headmaster in 2009, recent building dedications, faculty meetings at the beginning of a new school year, alumni events, and ballgames.

He has now compiled a collection of various prayers in a new book, Baylor Prayers.

Copies are available in the Campus Store for $9.95 or order the book on Amazon.com

Noting that public prayers are different from those done in private, Rev. Scott hopes that his printed collection is an example and inspiration for others. “It dawned on me years ago that all religions pray, but in our day it has become controversial on how to pray in public. I would like for these to be models of prayer for the wider community. It will be up to the audience on whether they agree with that.”

The book is published by Parson's Porch & Company in Cleveland, www.parsonsporch.com
