James Elmer Harlow, Jr., 89, of Soddy Daisy, died on Saturday, December 22, 2012. 

He was of the Presbyterian faith, and he was a WWII US Navy veteran. He was a retired electrician from IBEW Local 175.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Rachel Nuss Harlow; sister, Catherine Wyrick ; three brothers, Samuel, Allen and Raymond Harlow; son, Eddie Eugene Harlow; and daughter, Angela Stewart.

He is survived by his son, Charles “Kelly” Harlow of Soddy Daisy; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.,

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 27, at Williamson & Sons Funeral Home, with Reverend Alan Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in Presbyterian cemetery in Cullman, Ala., with James’ son, Charles conducting the committal. 

Visitation is on Wednesday, Dec. 26, from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
