Ernest Lester Bryant, Sr., 87, of Dalton, GA, died Wednesday morning, December 26, 2012 at the local hospital.
Mr. Bryant was born July 3, 1925 in Dalton, a son of the late Charlie H. and Mary Jane Poteet Bryant; and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Lillian Irene Cochran Bryant; his second wife, Johnnie Ruth Hudgins Duncan Bryant; his daughter, Fay Bryant; a step-son, George Duncan; and his brothers, Frank, Milburn, Ralph and Grady Bryant.
He was retired from Cornet Carpet.
He is survived by his sons, Danny Bryant and Les Bryant; daughter-in-law, DeEtte Duncan; sisters, Thelma Adams, Frances Bryant and DeeEtte Bryant; and several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Ernest Lester Bryant, Sr., will be held Friday, December 28, at 4 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Trammell Campbell. He will be laid to rest at Deep Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 2 p.m. Friday, December 28 at the Ponders Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
