Dennis W. Cartwright, 77, of Cleveland, TN, died on Sunday, December 2, 2012. 

He was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ. He was a life-long resident of Bradley County. He served in the United States Air Force. He was an avid golfer and a former educator who loved teaching. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, H. A. and Ozell (Tootsie) Cartwright; two brothers, Jack Cartwright and Ralph Cartwright; and a grandson: Bryson Sneed. 

He is survived by his wife, Diane Cartwright of Cleveland; daughter, Nicole (Alex) Denison of NC; step-son, Tony (Valerie) Beavers of Cleveland; step-daughter, Stephanie Sneed of Cleveland; three grandchildren, Teva Sneed, Braden Beavers and Brooklyn Beavers; nephews, Johnny Cartwright of Cleveland and Stephen (Diane) Cartwright of Athens; niece, Rebecca Cartwright of Cleveland; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, December 6, at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Steven Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Grove Church of Christ Cemetery with military honors. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 5, from 5-8 p.m. at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
