Pet Placement Center Reduces Adoption Fees For Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat Month

  • Sunday, June 24, 2012

June is National Adopt-A-Shelter-Cat month and the Pet Placement Center is reducing cat adoption fees for one week.

The Pet Placement Center, at 5975 Dayton Blvd., is offering all cats over the age of 6 months for $10, June 23-30. Kittens are $45. Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, updated vaccinations, microchip, deworming, feline leukemia and FIV test and flea and heartworm preventative.

“We have learned that money doesn’t equal a good home,” said Executive Director Kerry Moyers-Horton. “Every adopter must consider the cost of caring for a new cat companion, but charging a higher adoption fee doesn’t guarantee the new pet will be taken care of any better than one adopted out for less.”

The website is updated daily. Visit www.thalppc.com to see bios and pictures of every cat in the program or stop by the Center. They are open Wednesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m. and Sunday, 12-5 p.m.

For more information visit The Pet Placement Center or call 877-0738.
