Salvation Army Partners With Nehemiah Project For School Back Pack Delivery

The Salvation Army is joining with the Nehemiah Project and local churches this week to deliver more than 3,000 back packs to Chattanooga public school students.  Every student in the eight Title 1 schools will receive a back pack filled with needed school supplies.

This year’s distribution day is Thursday and volunteers from local churches and The Salvation Army will deliver the filled back packs to the students in their classrooms.  The Salvation Army’s delivery locations are Calvin Donaldson and East Lake Elementary Schools beginning at 9 a.m. Thursday.

The Back-to-School Back Pack distribution has been the Nehemiah Project’s signature program outreach for 12 years.
