Chattanooga Football Club beat Orlando City B 5-4 in the penalty shootout after the match ended 1-1 in regulation to take home two points and remain top of the Eastern Conference.
Mehdi Ouamri opened the scoring in the third minute with his second goal of the season. After patient build-up play, he timed his run and latched on to the end of a perfectly-weighted through ball from Jesus Ibarra and slotted past Orlando City B goalkeeper Javier Otero.
Orlando City B equalized minutes before half-time when Shakur Mohammed bundled one over the line after a scrappy battle for the ball in the penalty area.
There was no decisive goal in the second half, however CFC converted every spot-kick in the penalty shootout to take home the extra point and remain top of the Eastern Conference.
Sporting Director and Head Coach Rod Underwood made a pair of changes to the starting line-up from the club's 2-0 win over Carolina Core FC last weekend.

Chattanooga FC will finish the day at the top of both the Eastern Conference and Southeast Division, and will now look forward to back-to-back Southeast Division matchups on the road at Inter Miami II on Friday, May 10th at 5:00 p.m. ET and at Crown Legacy FC on Wednesday, May 15th at 7:30 p.m. ET.
