Jimmie Ruth Varner Nolan
Jimmie Ruth Varner Nolan, 79, of Soddy Daisy, died on Thursday, November 28, 2013.
She was a 1958 graduate of Edmondson School of Business and retired from the State of Tennessee after of 27 years of service. Jimmie was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Nolan, Sr. and parents James Russell Varner and Grace Smith Varner.
Survivors include her son, Charles “Eddie” (Judy) Nolan, Jr. of Dunlap; daughters, Kimberly (Randy) Jones of Ooltewah and Susan Fisher of Hixson; brothers, Howard Varner, Gerald Varner, Wallace Varner and Clarence Varner all of Soddy-Daisy, Elmer Varner of Harrison and Arthur Varner of Soddy-Daisy and Douglas Varner of Cleveland; sister, Nellie Christine Lipp of Missouri; grandchildren, Vanessa Nolan (Jessie) Harp, Mack Cunningham, Jonathan Fisher, Jessica Cunningham, Shane (Sarah) Nolan and Coby George; great grandchildren, Chloe Cunningham and Ryleigh Rowan and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3, at 2 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Chaplain Frank Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with military honors.
Visitation is Sunday, Dec. 1, from 4-9 p.m. and Monday from 12-9 p.m., and Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
