Stepp, Edward McCoy

Edward McCoy Stepp, 73, of Soddy Daisy, aka Papa, KC4EL, husband, daddy and brother, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2013 at his home. 

Mr. Stepp was a member of Millwright Local Union #1554 and a member of Soddy Lodge #418 F&AM. He was loved by all who met him.

He was preceded in death by his infant son, William Edward Stepp; mother, Dorothy Jewell Stepp; father, William Earl Stepp; and sister; Darlene Prestiani.

Survivors include his wife, Johnie Stepp; sons, Luther (JoAnne) Stepp of Leesville, La., Edward (Tina) McCoy Stepp II of Soddy Daisy and Kenneth (Tonya) Stepp of Soddy Daisy; daughter, Susan (Roger) Bartmess of Ooltewah, Donna C. Stepp Crisp of Soddy Daisy, Kathy (James) Charles of Denton, Tx., and Judy R. (Jeff) Newman of Hixson, brother, Kenneth W. Stepp of Baltimore, sisters, Donna (Bobby) Morris of Chattanooga, Linda (Pat) Frost of Chattanooga and Terry (Roger) Hensley of Baltimore; 25 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren; several special nieces and nephews .

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, in the funeral home chapel with Reverend Calvin Nunley officiating. A masonic service will follow the funeral service in the chapel performed by Soddy Lodge # 418 F&AM. 

The family will receive friends on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 4-8 p.m., and on Friday, from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home.
