An old brick two-story building near the corner of Market and Main streets is slated for renovation.

Thomas Palmer is planning the renovation at 1522 Market St. by 16th Street.

He said upstairs will be residential and the downstairs commercial. Several storefronts are planned, though specific tenants have not yet been identified.

A vacant lot at the site, which is across from Battle Academy, is for future development.

The building is owned by Dan Rose.

A zoning request comes before the Planning Commission on Monday.
