Willie M. Ledford, 106, died on December 13, 2013 at a local health care facility.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Raymond Kelly and W.L. Ledford, half-brother, George Bell, and half-sister, Ruby Nichols.

She was a retired manager of Paris Hat Shop for 27 years, and she also was a part-time sales lady at Katherine’s Intiment fashions for 10 years. She was president of Faithful Worker’s Sunday School class, and president of the Golden Sixties Senior Members of Edgewood Baptist Church.

Mrs. Ledford was a member of East Lake Senior Citizen’s Center.

Surviving relatives are her stepsons, Donald H. Ledford Sr. and Bill Ledford both of Cleveland, stepdaughter, Betty McDaniel of Cleveland, two step grandchildren, six step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and one cousin.


Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 16, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Brian R. Kurtz and Pastor Ron Bankson officiating. The interment will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 17, in Westhill Cemetery, Dalton, Ga.
