John Ross, 84, of Rocky Face, GA, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey & Maggie Ross; brothers, J.D., Gerald and Sanford Ross; sisters, Lillian Rogers and Velda Hall; daughter, Brenda Ross of the residence; and son-in-law, Dr. Tobias Dirks, Jr.
He was a member of Dogwood Valley Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ross; daughter, Judy Dirks of Rocky Face; son, Ronald Ross of Rocky Face; sister, Freida Harden of Waynesville, NC; brother, Cecil Ross of Waynesville; two grandchildren, Brian and Summer Robinson; and nieces and nephews.
The funeral service to honor the life of John Ross will be held Tuesday, December 17, at 2 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Gentry officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Valley Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, December 16 from 6-8 p.m.
