Crime Stoppers: Burglary In Dade County

  • Wednesday, December 4, 2013

Crime Stoppers and the Dade County Sheriff’s Office are seeking information on the identification of a burglar from the Dade County side of Lookout Mountain.

While homeowners were away on Nov. 18, an unidentified male broke through a pane glass door to the home and left with over $30,000 dollars in jewelry.  In addition to the jewelry, he also attempted to steal an SUV out of their driveway, but was unsuccessful and left on foot, but not before being captured on private security video.

The suspect appeared to be a white male with a slim build.  While the pictures were taken from a distance, authorities believe someone might recognize this man or have heard of such a significant haul of jewelry. Officials said, "Burglars rarely do one job and retire, and such a find would likely be bragged about."

Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect or the burglary itself, should contact Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could result in a cash reward. Call Crime Stoppers at 423 698-3333.
