Jackson, Garry Wayne "Bo" Sr. (Dalton)

Garry Wayne "Bo" Jackson Sr., 61, Of Dalton, GA, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at Quinton Memorial Health Care. 

He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church and was retired from the City of Dalton Recreational Department for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Mitchell Jackson; parents, Walter M. and Florence Parks Jackson, Sr.; and brothers, Walter M. Jackson, Jr. and Melvin Jackson. 

He is survived by his two sons, Garry Wayne Jackson, Jr. and Kelvin Lamar (Nealy) Jackson; two sisters, Linda Hammett and Carol Jean Jackson; four brothers, Ralph (Wanda) Jackson, Ronald (Janice) Jackson, Edward Lane (Reba) Jackson, all of Dalton, and Larry (Patrenia) Jackson of Alexander City, AL; two brothers-in-law, David Mitchell and John Mitchell; three aunts, Mary Parks, Fleta Parks and Wilma Parks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

The Service Celebrating the Life of Mr. Garry Jackson will be held on Thursday, December 12, at 1 p.m. from the Chapel with Pastor Erma Raymond and other ministers officiating. Interment will follow in West Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, December 11 from 6-7:30 p.m.
