The bad news for Chattanooga wrestling coach Heath Eslinger is that two-time Southern Conference champ and two-time NCAA qualifier Josh Condon (165 pounds) graduates in June.

But there is good news for coach Eslinger.

Two-time NCAA qualifier Corey Mock is transferring to Chattanooga from North Carolina at Chapel Hill and is set to take Condon's spot at 165 pounds next fall.

Mock is the first four-time North Carolina 4A state champion and was 63-29 at UNC.

“This is a big pick up for us with Josh Condon graduating," said Eslinger. "Corey has proven he can win at the very highest level and is ready for a fresh start.  I think you are going to see some very good things from him over the next two years.”

 Mat Notes:

Corey Mock went 62-27 in his first two seasons with the Tar Heels, advancing to the NCAA Championships as a freshman and a sophomore ... He led the Tar Heels with a 36-17 record as a freshman in 2011, finishing third at the ACC Championship ... He was 26-10 last season, including a fifth place showing at the 2012 Southern Scuffle in Chattanooga .

Three Signees for 2013-14: The addition of Mock gives UTC three signees for the 2013 recruiting class. Chattanooga also inked prep standouts Kevin Cooper (Morning View, Ky.) and Michael Pongracz (Milford, N.J.) to National Letters of Intent in the early signing period.
