Billy Hoyt Epperson, 82, of Dalton, GA, died Monday afternoon, April 1, 2013 at the Hamilton Medical Center.
Billy was born March 20, 1931 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late George and Irene Epperson; and was also preceded in death by his brothers, W.H., Erwin, David, Jack and Harlan Epperson; and sister, Frances Davison.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Epperson; sons and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Lori Epperson, Gene Epperson, Scott Epperson and Brent Epperson; daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Paul Peavy, Billie Cochran all of Chatsworth, GA, Connie Thomison, Linda and Ronnie Hicks and Phyllis Beasley; brother, Larry Epperson; sister and brother-in-law, Patsy and Bobby Beavers all of Dalton; 24 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; nine great-great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Billy Hoyt Epperson will be held Saturday April 20, at 2 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Paul Peavy officiating. Music will be provided by his great-grandson Christian Harris.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 1-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 20.
