TBI Captures Meigs County Jail Escapee

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has captured an inmate who escaped from the Meigs County Jail over the weekend. 

Christopher Eric Millsaps, 28, of Georgetown, Tn., on Sunday night escaped from the Meigs County Jail, where he was serving time for felony methamphetamine manufacturing charges. 

Through the assistance of a cooperating citizen, TBI was able to make contact with Millsaps while he was on the run and he agreed to turn himself into TBI agents on Tuesday night. 

Millsaps was taken into custody at the Save A Lot grocery on Highway 58 in Georgetown.

He was returned to the Meigs County Jail and charged with escape.
