Johnny Fleming, Jr., 67, died on Monday, June 10, 2013 at his home.

He was born on May 5, 1946 in Phillip County, Arkansas, to the late Johnny Fleming, Sr. and Mary Lee Jones. Johnny served in the Army where he received an honorable discharge for defending his country in the Vietnam War. He was employed at USPS for over 20 years. He joined the First Seventh Day Adventist Church in Huntsville, AL, where he served faithfully as an usher and a deacon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnny J Fleming, Sr., Mary Lee Jones and brothers, Author Kahill, James Kahill, and Author Jones.

He is survived by his four daughters and sons-in-law, Melody Wilson (Milton), Aleacia Fleming, Traci Fleming, Melanie Fleming, and his loving friend, Debra Wills and her family, brothers, sisters and a host of family, friends, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service for Johnny Fleming will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, June 17, at John P. Franklin Chapel, with Pastor Martin Lister officiating. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The body will lie in state from 12-6 p.m. on Sunday, June 16, at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Ave., 622-9995.
