Sharon Curry, a missionary from Second Presbyterian Church, 700 Pine St., to South Sudan, will be the guest speaker for worship services on Sunday, at 11 a.m . She will also speak Wednesday night, Aug. 7.
Henry Paris is a new staff member at the church with the new position of Director of Urban Outreach Ministries. A graduate of Union Presbyterian Seminary, he is currently providing preaching and pastoral care for First Presbyterian Church in Soddy Daisy. He also provides urban outreach for St.
Matthew's Shelter. He has been an ordained elder for over 30 years and is a 14-year resident of Chattanooga. In addition to his Ministry of Divinity degree, he holds BS. MS and PhD degrees in physics, metallurgy and chemical engineering from Georgia Tech.
