Pettyjohn, Nicklos Jethro Jr. (Summerville)

Nicklos Jethro Pettyjohn, Jr., 91 of Summerville, GA, passed away Friday, August 16, 2013 at his residence.  

Mr. Pettyjohn was born on March 10, 1922 in Walker County, GA. He was retired from Riegel Textile Corporation and was a member of the Pennville Church of Christ.  Mr. Pettyjohn was a Veteran of the United States Army.   

Mr. Pettyjohn was preceded in death by his father and mother, Nicklos Jethro Pettyjohn, Sr. and Julie Jones Pettyjohn; sisters, Annie Rape, Lula Ford, Lou Margie Dawson, Almeda Pettyjohn and Gussie Stansell; and brothers, Earl Pettyjohn and Lewis Pettyjohn.   

Mr. Pettyjohn is survived by his wife, Frances E. Vineyard Pettyjohn of Summerville; brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.   

Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, August 18, at 2 p.m. from the Pennville Church of Christ with Minister Frank Ford and Noey Vineyard officiating.  Interment will follow in Macedonia Cemetery.     Pallbearers will be Robert Pettyjohn, Gene Smith, Nick Floyd, Jerry Floyd, Sandy Stephens, Sammy Pilgrim, Dennis Vineyard and Gary Gilreath.  Honorary Pallbearers will be nieces and nephews and members of the Pennville and Lookout Hall Church of Christ.

Erwin-Petitt Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
