Cloud, Marchie Evans (Ocoee)

Marchie Evans Cloud, 93, of Ocoee, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at a Chattanooga health care facility. 

She was a longtime member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Ocoee, TN. She was retired from Bradley Memorial Hospital with 28 years of service as a Certified Nurse Assistant.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Andrew “Bud” Cloud; parents, Ida Mae and Charlie Evans; a son, J. Paul Cloud; and a brother, Jack Evans. 

She is survived by two sons, Kenneth (Ginger) Cloud of Ocoee and Tom (Jeanie) Cloud of Cleveland; two daughters, Doris (Larry) Samples and Ruth (Joe) McCoy both of Cleveland; a sister, Emily Grace Lowrance of Okechobee, FL; grandchildren, Andy Cloud of Ocoee, Emily Ridge of Cleveland, Carla Cloud of Duluth, GA, Katie Levert of Loganville, GA, and Joelle Cavitt of Cleveland; four great-grandsons, Tyler, Lucas, Mason and Winston Cloud; three great-granddaughters, Reese and Avery Cavitt and Anne Levert; and several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Melba Sipes. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. Friday, January 3, at Shiloh Baptist Church with Pastor Charles Campbell officiating. Interment will follow in Cookson Creek Cemetery in Polk County with family members serving as pallbearers. 

The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Friday, January 3 at the church prior to the service. 

The family suggests that memorials be made to the building fund at Shiloh Baptist Church, 358 Hwy. 64, Ocoee, TN 37361 or to the charity of your choice.
