During a special Wednesday meeting, the Cleveland City School Board made a motion to send a letter of intent to Tri-Con for the gymnasium construction project.

Tri-Con, a company based out of Cleveland, placed the lowest bid, at $11,245,000. Four other bids were placed.

The bid will officially be accepted on Oct. 16.

Director of Schools Dr. Martin Ringstaff said, "They were the lowest bid, but we're happy they're from Cleveland."

He said this would be positive for the community.

Dr. Ringstaff also said the subcontractors employed would also be local.
