Arthur Lee Evans, 74, of Pikeville, TN, passed away on Wednesday, October 22, 2014.

He was of the Church of God faith. He worked as a steel worker at Wheeling Foundry. His favorite pastimes were spent fishing and watching his grandkids play baseball.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ott and Maudie (Hancock) Evans; three brothers, Johnny, Jimmy and Carlos Evans; and one sister, Sue Holland.

He is survived by his wife, Maxie Evans; son, James Evans; daughters, Penny (Jeffrey) Johnson, Kim (Joel) Smith and Tammy (David) Cagle; brother, Sammy (Patsy) Evans; sister, Daisy (Hooker) Nail; grandchildren, Tiffany (Joe) Menken, Brandon (Rebecca) Johnson, Ryan Johnson, Brittany Evans, Desiree Evans, Bradley (Amy) Evans, Jacklyn (Darius) Fugate, Chad Cagle, Garrett Cagle and Katlyn Cagle; great-grandchildren, Makayla Johnson, Evelyn Menken, Caleb Mabey, Drake Fugate, Joanie Evans and Kyleigh Fugate; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

A Celebration of Arthur Lee’s Life will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturday October 25, at 2 p.m. with Bro. Doyle Ashburn officiating.  Burial will be in the Iron Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 24 from 4-9 p.m.

Pikeville Funeral Home has charge of the arrangements.
