Longwith, Geneva Sue Taylor (Cleveland)

Geneva Sue Taylor Longwith, 52, of Cleveland, TN, died on Thursday, October 23, 2014.  

She was employed as a manager at Sonya’s Classic Cars.  She was of the Baptist faith and was very active in the Elks Club.  She was an animal lover and advocate for animals, and was active at the Humane Society. She was born in Cleveland and had lived there her entire life.

She is survived by the love of her life, Daniel Swafford of Cleveland; parents, Julia Ann Hester Taylor and James H. Taylor; three sisters, Sonya Taylor Merkel and husband Ronn of Cleveland, Vickie Kesley and husband Ricky of Ooltewah and Tonya Longwith of Athens; brother, Tim L. Taylor and wife Missy of Cleveland; nephews, Christian Merkel of Cleveland, T.J. Taylor, Dakota Taylor and Dallas Taylor of Cleveland; and special friends, Bridgette Bethune, Amy Shaffer Brown, Rhonda Paul, Debbie Godfrey and Lisa Bell.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Longwith; sister, Cindy Jo Longwith; and brother, Nathan Taylor.

A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend David White and Pastor Bob Bevan officiating.  Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens with D.L. Carter, Gary Hunley, Mark Truelove, Dakota Taylor, Dallas Taylor, Justin Winters, T.J. Taylor, and John Crawford serving as pallbearers.  Christian A. Merkel will serve as honorary pallbearer.  A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 4-9 p.m. Tuesday, October 28, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home, who has charge of the arrangements.
