Lee-Smith Celebrates 75th Anniversary

Lee-Smith celebrates its 75th anniversary as a supplier of commercial transportation products and services in Chattanooga and the surrounding market on Wednesday, Oct. 15.  

The main event on Wednesday is a customer and supplier appreciation luncheon at 11 a.m.  

Founded in 1939 as a McCormick-Deering factory branch the company has evolved through a series of stages and ownerships. Today this local family owned company employees more than 150 people who sell and service Navistar (International), Ford, and Isuzu trucks throughout the tri-state area.  

Less Lee, president of Lee-Smith, said, “We understand the reason we’re still here after 75 years is the value created by our employees and products, the loyalty of our customers, and the support of our supplier-partners.”
