Dan Taylor Harrison, 81, died on Thursday, November 13, 2014 at Erlanger Medical Center.

Dan was born in Morristown, Tn. He graduated with the last class of Knoxville High School in 1951. He was a member of Dallas Bay Baptist Church and Gatekeepers Class. Dan served in the Untied States Army Medical Corp. during the Korean Conflict. He attended Williams and Mary University while stationed at Fort. Eustice, Va., later attended University of Tennessee and the University of Chattanooga. He enjoyed traveling, golfing and spending time in Florida. Dan spent 50 years in business, and the last 30 years, he was owner of Collection Service Agency, Inc.   

Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Amos and Lucille Harrison, brother, Robert and Amos Harrison, Jr.

Dan is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann Harrison; son, Mike Harrison; brother, William L. Harrison; several nieces and a nephew.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, Nov. 16, 2014, from 2–5 p.m. and Monday, Nov. 17, from 11 a.m. until the time of service.

Funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 17, in the funeral home chapel with  Pastor David McNabb officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contribution may be made to Joseph’s Storehouse at Dallas Bay Baptist Church, 8305 Daisy Dallas Road, Hixson, Tn. 37343.

Arrangements are by the Chattanooga Funeral Home Crematory and Florist, North Chapel, Highway 153, Hixson, Tn. 37343.
