Miss Chattanooga 2015, Stephanie McKain is hosting a Holiday Clothing Giveaway at South Chattanooga Recreation Center on Dec. 13,from 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

This drive is hosted by Closets of Love which is the domestic division of a non-profit organization called T-Shirts International that Ms. McKain started over four years ago. Ms. McKain started this organization due to her experiences growing up in a single parent home.

“I understand that new or gently used clothing can mean everything to a child who is ashamed by the clothes that they currently have.

Having pants that are long enough or a coat that is thick enough can be a luxury for some,” said Ms. McKain. She hopes that families in need will find warm clothes for the cold winter ahead. She said, “I hope that everyone that needs clothing will find out about this giveaway and receive help.”

Ms. McKain is accepting clothing donations until Dec. 12. Clothes can be dropped off at Splash Salon, 8643 E. Brainerd Road, or can be picked up by emailing smckain@tshirtsint.com. All donations are tax-deductible.

Ms. McKain also needs volunteers anytime between 8 a.m.-1 p.m.

More information about the drive can be found at www.tshirtsint.com.
