Ruth Ann Ritchie Frizzell, 92, of Huntsville, Alabama, and formerly of Red Bank, died on Wednesday, November 19, 2014.
Ruth was born in Chattanooga to the late Arthur and Lula Ritchie. She retired from the Hamilton County School System where she enjoyed being with the children. She was a former member of Hixson Church of God, loved her devotion time and reading the Bible. Ruth was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and aunt for her entire extended family, and was loved by everyone who knew her, as much as she loved them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Fred Frizzell and a grandson, James I. Hilton III.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Gail F. Phillips and her daughter Heather Phillips and Fretta Ann Hilton (Retired Dr. James I. Hilton, Jr.) and their son, Steven Hilton (Karen) and their three children, Rachel, Hannah, and Jimmy, stepgrandchildren, Brent and Tracy Phillips; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10-12 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 22, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A celebration of life service will follow at 12 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
Burial will be in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
