Mildred W. Thomas, 89, of Dalton, GA, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga.

She was the daughter of the late John Mason and Lily West; and was also preceded in death by her husband, Ossie Milton Thomas Jr.; sisters, Nell Perry and Louise Barnett; and brothers, John West Jr. and Clyde R. West.

Mildred is survived by her children and their spouses, Ron and Lana Thomas of Bay Minette, AL, Patsy Bartenfeld and Kris and Linda Gail Thomas all of Dalton; grandchildren, Jason and Tina Thomas, Lisa and Chris Cahill, Tracy Bartenfeld, Tammy and Chris Stephens, Kaylan Bartenfeld, Kristi Thomas and Mason Thomas; 13 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Ken and Gerri West; and sister, Jean Oliver.

Funeral services will be Monday, November 24 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Love Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Millican officiating. Burial will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Love Funeral Home on Sunday, November 23 from 5 to 8 p.m.

Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to one’s favorite charity.

Love Funeral Home, 1402 N. Thornton Ave, Dalton (across from Hamilton Medical Center) is in charge of arrangements.
