William Brooks

William "Bill" Henry Brooks, 82, of Rossville, died on Sunday, November 23, 2014.

He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was of the Baptist faith. Bill served his country in the U.S. Army and the U.S. Marine Corps and retired from Universal Towing & Recovery in 2011 after more than 18 yrs. He was a loving father, brother and grandfather, who will be missed greatly.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, William Henry Brooks and Jessie Grimes Johnson; and brother-in-law, Willard Ford.

He is survived by his children, Gene (Lisa) Brooks, Dean (Cindy) Brooks, Tim Brooks, Beverly Brooks, Billy Brooks, and Jerry (Christen) Brooks; sister, Helen Revels; grandchildren, Skylar, Amanda, Jesse, and Ruth Ann; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 26, in the funeral home chapel, with Reverend Leeroy Webb officiating. Interment will follow in Tyner Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until the funeral time on Wednesday.

The family would like to thank the staff of NHC Rossville for their love and support during this difficult time.
