Retired From Hamilton County Government After 33 Years

Thelma Roselle Morgan, 79, of Soddy Daisy, died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014, after a long hard-fought battle with Alzheimer’s.

She was a member of the Joy Class, First Baptist Church in Soddy Daisy and loved her Sunday School class. Roselle retired from Hamilton County government after 33 years working in Tags and Title, Tax Assessor’s office, managed the credit union and worked in Finance.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Morgan; sister, Louise Holmes and parents, Belle and Basil Smith. 

She is survived by her daughter, Ruth Morgan Feathers (Tom) of Harrison; son, Brian Morgan of Soddy Daisy; grandchildren, Justin and Autumn Morgan of Soddy Daisy and several nieces and nephews. 

There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

A graveside service for family and friends will be held at Varner Cemetery on Friday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. with Reverend Carl Hunsucker officiating. 

The family would like to give special thanks to Faye Coleman for the love and care she gave our mother and father during their illness. She was an absolute angel sent to us. The family also thanks the Terrace at Mountain Creek, Soddy Daisy Health Care Center and Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful love and great care they gave our mother.
