Dr. Healan Gaston To Speak At Pilgrim Church On Nov. 9

Dr. Healan Gaston will speak at Pilgrim Congregational Church on Sunday at the 11 a.m. service on the role of liberal Christianity today.

Dr. Gaston, a Chattanooga native and graduate of Baylor School, currently teaches U.S. Religious History at Harvard Divinity School. She graduated from Brown University with a major in religious studies and wrote her senior thesis on the history of the Brainerd Mission, a Congregationalist mission to the Cherokee Nation.  Dr. Gaston received her M.A.

and Ph.D. degrees in history from the University of California, Berkeley.
