Ice On The Landing Features 'Skate For Charity' And 'Chanukah On Ice' This Week

  • Monday, December 15, 2014

Chattanooga Presents has announced that Ice on the Landing, presented by Volkswagen Chattanooga, will benefit a local charity each Wednesday in December from 5-9 p.m.  This week’s “Skate for Charity” beneficiary is the Salvation Army.

On Wednesday 20% of the ticket purchases from 5-9 p.m. will be donated to the Salvation Army and will contribute to the well being of families in Chattanooga. Their bell ringers will also be on site, reminding attendees of the featured charity and accepting cash donations.

Another special event being held at Ice on the Landing this week is a “Chanukah on Ice” celebration, where a 4’ menorah ice sculpture will be lit in the center of the rink on Thursday at 6 p.m.  Rabbi Pearlstein will offer the traditional blessing, and other officials may also make brief remarks. The ceremony on the ice will be approximately 15 minutes long.

Beginning Friday, Ice on the Landing will open weekdays at 11 a.m.
