Edna Irene Jobe, 85, of Cleveland, TN, passed away on Tuesday,, December 16, 2014.
She was born on September 1, 1929 to the late Johnny and Martha Gibson. A lifelong resident of this area, she was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church. She was very involved in her church and loved traveling with the “Sonshiners” group. In addition to traveling, which Edna loved to do, she also enjoyed shopping.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Arthur W. Jobe; and one sister, Lexi Mae Gibson Kibble.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory five children, Vickie Rollins (Terry), Gary Jobe (Carol), Dennis L. Jobe (Flo), Pat Coerper and Dale Jobe (Diana); sisters, Geneva Lowe and Neveda Henderson; brother, John Gibson Jr. (Priscilla); 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several other nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 21, at Companion Funeral Home located at 2415 Georgetown RD NW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
The family will receive friends from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to “Sonshiners” of West Cleveland Baptist located at 1959 Westland Drive SW, Cleveland, TN 37311.
