Doris Jean Melton, 76, died on Sunday, December 21, 2014.
Doris was a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister. She was retired as an office manager.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Curtis Melton.
Doris is survived by her son, Randy (Gloria) Melton; two daughters, Lorri Posey and Lisa Wilson; three grandchildre, Monica Moore, Chip Wilson and Elizabeth Wilson; great-grandchildren, Levi Moore and Mary Celeste Moore.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 26, from 12-2 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel.
Funeral services for Doris will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home chapel with Reverend David Brackett officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
