The Chattanooga Mocs grabbed three more All-American awards when the Beyond Sports Network FCS Teams were announced today.  Junior quarterback Jacob Huesman made the second team, while senior tight end Faysal Shafaat and senior defensive end Davis Tull were third team picks.

The BSN FCS All America Team was chosen by College Sports Information Directors, Coaches, Media Members and BSN Staff.  Each college was eligible to cast two ballots.

This is the first career All-American nod for Huesman, the two-time Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Year.  Huesman finished the season tops in the SoCon and No. 24 in the FCS with 3,740 yards of total offense.  He ran for 1,009 yards and 14 touchdowns and passed for 2,371 and 23 scores through the air.

This is Shafaat’s third All-American honor this season.  He was also a third team pick by the Associated Press and CollegeSportsMadness.com.  He finished the year with 34 catches and five touchdowns.

Tull is on everyone’s All-American team.  The three-time SoCon Defensive Player of the Year led the league with 10.5 sacks and finished his career with the SoCon sack record at 37.0.

The Mocs set a school record with a 10-4 overall mark and their first appearance in the FCS Playoffs since 1984.  UTC won the SoCon title with a 7-0 league record.
