Chattanooga Author Shares Struggles With Mental Illness In New Book

  • Tuesday, December 23, 2014

Author Valorie Hughley announces the nationwide release of her new novel, “Life After Life With Mental Illness,” a heart-rending memoir on her struggle with a mental condition that had once haunted her life.

Review for Life After Life With Mental Illness:

One night in 1992 changed Ms. Hughley’s life forever. The demons were coming to get her and it seemed like God wasn’t listening. She felt sure that her mother-in-law had put witchcraft on her and her two young daughters. When she felt her grip on reality beginning to slip, Ms. Hughley did everything she could to seek help but was turned away at every opportunity.

The result was a psychotic breakdown and the loss of life. “Life After Life with Mental Illness” is a heartbreaking true story about the author’s struggle to find herself after falling into darkness.

Published by Tate Publishing and Enterprises, the book is available through bookstores nationwide, from the publisher at www.tatepublishing.com/bookstore, or by visiting barnesandnoble.com or amazon.com.

Ms. Hughley takes pride in her progress on becoming a much stronger, wiser woman. She believes that being single is neither damaging nor an excuse to giving up. Being spiritually humble, she has come far in keeping and enriching her faith.
