Daughters Of American Revolution Served Christmas Cheer To Veterans

  • Monday, December 29, 2014

The five chapters of the Chattanooga Daughters of the American Revolution came together at the Coolidge Center for a Christmas party for veterans and their families.

As the veterans waited for their appointments they were able to choose from a table laden with holidays snacks and drinks. They had goodie bags with toiletries, calendars and other gifts to take away with them.

It was a busy morning as members of the DAR chapters (Chickamauga, Nancy Ward, Chief John Ross, Judge David Campbell and Moccasin Bend ) served up chips, salsa, assorted baked goods and smiles. They were helped by the John Sevier chapter of the SAR.

This is a yearly program for DAR who support active duty men and women and veterans.  Ladies who could not attend sent food and Carmike 13 in Cleveland sent popcorn to round out the menu.
