Re: Roy Exum: A Picture In Sharper Focus
Dear Roy,
You did it again. You jerked tears from my eyes.
It's much more than your writing style that impresses me, Roy -- it's the window into your heart that you open -- even when the subject of your articles is not in conformances with the stereotypes and prejudices of the majority of this hate-filled community of Chattanooga.
You have somehow been able, through the experiences and upbringing you have had, to eloquently share your unique perspectives with folks from both sides of the railroad tracks, with those from both the top and bottom of the mountain, those from the board rooms and the factory floors, those who park their butts in leather Barka loungers as well as those who can't afford any chairs at all, in a way that opens their eyes and hearts.
By your choice of subjects, you display your vulnerabilities, your heart, your soul. You allow us to see the humanity that your eyes witness, to share in your joy as well as your sorrows.
Thank you.
Mark Regan
