Woman In Critical Condition After She Is Hit Trying To Cross Highway 58

A 29-year-old woman is in critical condition after she was struck by a car while trying to cross Highway 58.

On Monday at approximately 6:52 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a pedestrian struck at 5522 Highway 58.  It was reported to traffic Investigators that Elizabeth Thomas attempted to cross the highway on foot when she was struck by a motorist who could not avoid her. 

Ms. Thomas was transported to a local hospital.
