Grace Episcopal Hosts Mardi Gras Pancake Supper

Grace Episcopal Church, 20 Belvoir Ave. Mardi Gras will host its annual Mardi Gras Pancake Supper, cooked and served by EYC members. They’ll start serving in the Undercroft at 6 p.m. on March 4. The evening’s festivities will include pancake racing. The children will give a demonstration of their prowess upon rhythm instruments as well, thus adding the theological element of making a joyful noise.

Holy Eucharist and the Imposition of Ashes will be offered three times on Ash Wednesday (March 5): 7 a.m., 12 p.m., and 7 p.m.The evening service will include hymns and choir; the earlier services will have no music.

During Lent, beginning on Sunday, March 9, there will be an in-depth introduction to the spiritual practice of centering prayer.
