Multiple Shots Fired In East Ridge; Suspect Being Sought

A suspect is being sought after a shooting in East Ridge on Tuesday afternoon.

East Ridge Police responded to the area of Frawley Street and S. Germantown Road at 3:52 p.m.,
where a Chattanooga police officer had been flagged down by victims of a shooting that had just occurred.

Police learned that an unknown suspect had approached a group of victims in an alley next to 3302 Navajo Drive in East Ridge. Four of the victims were in a parked vehicle, and three victims were standing around the vehicle. The shooter approached the group of victims on foot and fired multiple shots from a handgun at the victims. None of the victims were struck. The victims fled and scattered.

The suspect left in an unknown direction of travel. It is unknown whether the suspect fled the area on foot or in a vehicle.

The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male wearing a gray hoodie.

Members of the ERPD Criminal Investigation Division are conducting an investigation into the matter.
