A Criminal Court jury on Tuesday night found 22-year-old Imari Glover not guilty of the charge of attempted aggravated robbery.

The trial only lasted several hours, and the panel deliberated about two hours.

According to police, Glover and two friends made plans to rob the Moe's Southwest Grill on Gunbarrel Road on Nov. 17, 2010.

However, they were stopped by police after they continued to drive around the building.

A revolver and a BB gun were found in the car.

Defense attorney Bill Speek said, "There's not any evidence that he knew, participated, or intended to rob Moe's, yet they want a conviction. Our system is better than that."

He said, "The day being in a car with someone is a crime, we're all in trouble."

He pointed out, "We know that he had nothing to do with the gun. We know that he didn't drive to Moe's," asking, "Would any of us like to be held on that type of evidence?"

Attorney Speek also said, "There was never any evidence presented of any kind of communication with Mr. Glover."
