An enthusiastic crowd was settling into their seats when the the introduction of the teams began followed by the presentations of the colors, the singing of the National Anthem by the Chattanooga Boys Choir, and lastly the entrance of two skydivers. The players looked on as the crowd cheered when the first skydiver landed safely. But joy turned to concern when the second skydiver, Justin Silvia, dropped for the sky, hit the ground hard, and fell on his face. He was quickly attended to while players, umpires, and fans waited.
Eventually, EMT technicians brought out a stretcher and Silvia left the field. While he received a loud ovation, the injured skydiver raised his thumb in the air to indicate that he was going be be alright. Later, it was reported that he'd suffered a leg injury but should be fine
