There were 8,701 ballots cast in early voting in Hamilton County leading to the primary election next Tuesday.
Republican totals were 6,137 and Democrat totals were 2,560.
Northgate was the most popular voting spot with 2,609.
There were 2,289 voting at the election office off Amnicola Highway, 1,701 at the Brainerd Recreation Center and 1,467 at Eastwood Church in Ooltewah. There were 634 absentee by mail.
