Nashville Children's Choir Sings With Chattanooga Boys Choir Monday

  • Monday, May 12, 2014

The Nashville Children's Choir under the direction of Madeline Bridges and James Wells will perform a special "On-Your-Way-Home" concert with members of the Chattanooga Boys Choir at Second Presbyterian Church Monday from 5:15-6 p.m.

This brief concert will include both groups performing separately, then the choirs will combine for Sue Ellen Page's arrangement of "My Lord, What a Morning."

Review for Madeline Bridges:

Dr. Bridges is well-known across the country as an outstanding conductor of children's choirs and a leading pedagogue in music education.

Her publications including How to Lead Children's Choirs (Convention Press), Sing Together, Children! (GIA), The Book of Church Songs and Spirituals (GIA) have been invaluable children's choirs resources for years, and her work with the Tennessee Arts Academy, Choristers Guild, and MENC/NAfME have been monumental to these organizations.
