Reel Stories Documentary Screening Is Thursday

  • Wednesday, May 14, 2014

AVA will host a screening of the 2014 Reel Stories Project in the first floor auditorium of the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library on Thursday at 6 p.m.

AVA’s Reel Stories Documentary Program is an 18-week after-school residency program designed for high school students to learn critical filmmaking skills as they interview, record, write and digitally edit an original documentary that addresses social or community issues.

This year’s project was held at Red Bank High School and the students' documentary entitled, JROTC: An Inside Look, focuses on the school’s JROTC program and its impact on student life.

For more information on how to become involved in this project, contact AVA’s Education and Exhibitions Director Lauren Goforth at lgoforth@avarts.org, or 265-4282 ext.105.
